Pay the simple way

Some hospitals take payment from you directly. Where they can't — or where you'd rather pay in your own currency — we can receive your payment and settle with the hospital for you. Either way, every charge is agreed before anything is booked.

For most procedures, Shanghai pricing is a fraction of what equivalent care costs in the US, UK, or Australia — and on par with or better than other medical tourism destinations. We can give you an indicative range once we understand your case.

Things patients ask us first.

We work with two kinds of hospital partners in Shanghai. JCI-accredited private hospitals like United Family Healthcare, which operate to international quality standards. And the dedicated international medical centres of leading public hospitals — including Huashan Hospital, Shanghai Ruijin, and the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University — which are where Shanghai's own residents go for serious care. We'll share each partner's full credentials in your plan.
Most doctors at the international medical centres we work with speak good English, and many have trained abroad. For appointments where the doctor's English is less strong, your bilingual Eastwell coordinator is alongside you — translating, taking notes, and making sure nothing is lost between you and your doctor.
It depends on the procedure. A full health check-up can be done in 2–3 days. Cataract surgery and most cosmetic procedures require 7–10 days. Full-mouth dental work is usually 10–14 days with a single trip, or split across two shorter visits. We'll map out the exact timeline in your plan.
Our service covers everything around the medical care itself: case review and hospital matching, appointment scheduling, visa-support letter, flights and accommodation, airport pickup and local transport, a bilingual coordinator at appointments, document handling, and translation. For all of this we charge a service fee — shown as its own clear line in your quote, agreed before anything is booked. The fee depends on the treatment and the complexity of your case. (If you'd like us to handle payment to the hospital as well, see the question below.)
It depends on the hospital. Some can take payment from you directly. Where a hospital can't accept international cards — or where you'd simply rather pay in your own currency — we can receive your payment through services like PayPal, Wise, or card, and settle with the hospital on your behalf. This involves currency conversion, payment-processing fees, and us placing the hospital deposit for you, so it carries a clear payment-handling charge, shown separately in your quote. You'll always see it and agree to it before anything is paid.
